MasterCard sponsors IPL team Mumbai Indians

Credit Card major MasterCard has joined the IPL band wagon by announcing itself as the founding sponsor of the Reliance Mumbai Indians team. MasterCard is celebrating its 25th year in India.

With every major company wanting a piece of the IPL pie, MasterCard surely has its share secured. Mumbai is on MasterCard’s list of top 50 financial destinations globally and with Cricket being such a popular sport in India, MasterCard certainly has made the right move.

MasterCard will also run a Priceless Catch Contest which will reward spectators grabbing a clean catch of a Six in the stands. Winners will get a cricket ball autographed by the master himself, Sachin Tendulkar.
